Keto / Intermittent Fasting plateau
Hello, I'm a 33 year old male who has been experimenting with keto / i.f on and off for a year or so. Recently i decided to really focus on committing to the process and have had some pretty crazy results over my first two weeks. I started at around 230lbs and after two weeks I'm floating at 210lbs. Typically I'm doing one meal a day which consists of lots of roasted veggies finished with olive oil and a protien. I'm not going out of my way to add extra fats. Typically my fasting period between meals is 20 - 24 hours. I've thrown in one 44ish hour fast as well so far. I'm only 5'7" and my goal weight it to be around 180 which is still higher than some recommendations but I do have a decent amount of muscle from my job so I don't want/ see the need to go much lower than that. I guess I'm just wondering if anyone has any idea why for the last 4 days I'm just stuck at 210/211 ? I mean, it's not like I don't have lots of fat reserve still on my body, I understand that things slow down after the initial water shed but I feel like what I'm doing is so extreme in terms of deficit and diet that I'm just getting discouraged. I'm not strictly counting macros or calories but i'm also not oblivious to them and i'd be shocked if I was eating more than 1200/1400 calories in my one meal a day. Even that figure seems generous. I'm active outside of an active job and additional 3-4 hours a week. Any thoughts?
