Finding remote work

How can I find actual legitimate remote work? And how can you even tell if it is actually legit? I'm not asking much in terms of wage, as I'm just trying to find a little part time side gig to help out a little more financially.

I keep running into the same issues - which mostly consist of SCAMS. I know better than to pay money for something like this. That is like scam101, and most things I've come across, when I get to the last step it always asks for a 'one time payment'.

I'm really good with computers (I'm an excellent typist, I have tons of experience with all the Microsoft programs, I have experience with transcription and annotation, ect. ). I guess maybe I'm just looking in the wrong places?

Any advice or ideas for a struggling single mama of 3?
