Let’s face it: Cilan’s Stunfisk was arguably the worst companion Pokémon in the anime.
Not only did this thing never win a single battle or really do anything for that matter, but there was literally no build-up to its capture, unlike Crustle. In fact, it didn’t even get its own episode - the episode where it was caught was also the one where Ash caught his Palpitoad, another Pokémon that barely did anything (seriously, he has the lowest number of appearances out of all of Ash’s Pokémon, appearing in just fifteen episodes). Not to sound like a hater, but… why didn’t they just give Cilan a Deerling or Whimschott instead?
