He is cheering the central-right party (which is probably closer to the US Democratic party on the right/left spectrum), Merkel's party, who he LOATHED, simply because it has "conservative" in the name.
Yes, the far-right (AfD) made major gains which is very concerning, but that's clearly not what he's referring to. Either he doesn't know the difference or (more likely) he's banking on his supporters not having a clue.
I'm curious what he'll say when they block the far-right from the coalition. I really hope Merz will stand up to his bullshit (and I REALLY want to see the two of them standing next to each other to watch T***p fume at being shorter than him 🤣🤣)
