Letter to Benq Zowie

Hello, guys

I have been one of your first clients, back when very little amount of people even knew what BenQ was. My first BenQ monitor was XL2720Z, and I still have it and use it to this day, I was lucky to see good quality TN panel for those times (8 years ago) at 144hz. I had zero issues with that monitor to this day.

Since then, I bought 4 monitors with major defects, and returned them all. Two XL2746s models, and two XL2746K models.3 of those monitors had dead pixels straight out of the box (brand new), and last one could not save settings to S-Switch and would reset them if the monitor was turned off. It breaks my heart to see such a bad quality nowadays, as I loved your TN Panels, and was one of the few that went for BenQ against the hype of IPS panels. I feel more or less as one of the first ones that loved your flagship XL2720Z monitor.

You do not have quality control, clearly. All 4 monitors had a wild discrepancy of colors and panels looked like they were from completely different manufacturers. To the point where 3rd monitor that came with a dead pixel was the only one that looked better than my XL2720Z, in terms of color and saturation. The rest were washed out and duller than your XL2720Z old flagship. It's like you took a step back in quality. Is it the corporate agenda to make most money these days, do you not care about those humble beginnings? Back when no one was using your TN Panels in E-Sports championships.Back when people were ragging on BenQ as some obscure brand that no one knows about it.

The difference back then was not just the lack of popularity, you had quality product, and it was innovative at the time, especially your Flicker Free Technology, which was the reason why I bought your panel. I never regretted that monitor, but was so disappointed to see how bad your quality control is now.

I bought IPS panel in the end, from another company, but TRUST ME, I tried to find a monitor of equal or better quality than my XL2720Z, and I wanted it to be BenQ.

You might have lost me permanently as far as it goes, but I hope you will return back to the same quality product that I expect to see out of BenQ flagship models. Considering how your monitors at $600 now, you should do better than that. Otherwise people will stop buying, and they will buy reliable brands like Asus, Dell, Acer and Samsung.

It's shameful to see 4 monitors with huge defects. Last but not least, last XL2746k I had, had the worst color reproduction that I ever saw on TN panel, with whites and haze that made my almost decade old XL2720Z look like expensive IPS panel.

You need to go back to worrying about quality, rather than quantifying your sales. I am actually sad to see how bad your quality is now, whether I will buy your product again or not.

Sony will never have such quality control, neither will Samsung. That is the reason why people trust those companies. LG does amazing job recently as well, but trust me, if they stop checking quality, people will stop buying. I almost kept the 3rd monitor with couple of dead pixels, because colors were good. But I would be keeping a broken monitor from the get go.

All monitors were bought from Amazon, and were clearly brand new, no question about it.Please do better, or you will lose sales, and trust of people that love/loved your company products.
