Google Messages is extremely slow.

Hey All. I recently got a S25 Ultra coming over from an iPhone for the last 10 years. I‘m not familiar with androids so I thought I’d ask those who have been using them for years on whether or not what I’m experiencing is normal. I’m using Google Messages and I had all my conversations from my iPhone transferred over but whenever I open a recent message from someone I’m presented with a blank white screen for atleast 10 seconds and then the conversation will display. Is this normal? Waiting 10 seconds before I can see what the other person said in the chat is really annoying. Anything have a similar issue or know what the fix is?
