Why is there so much contradicting advice out there?

Some will say stretching and exercises are the cure, others will say you need to rest and let it heal. Some say to roll your feet on a ball, and for others that just increases the pain. Some say to massage pain points in the calf, while others say that has no real effect. Some say to just go for the cortisone shot as the miracle cure, others say don't or it didn't help for long. Hell, one guy on YouTube claims it's actually a tendonitis, not even a fasciitis, and his argument makes a lot of sense. There seems to be just about no predicable, reliable advice out there.

For me, I've tried just about all the techniques and methods, PT, doctors and all, and I still can't get rid of it (it's been five years now). I don't even know where to go from here because apparently there's no actual path forward to healing, no reliable advice that works. I'm so sick of having been, and being limited for being so young.
